Meet the Team - Nicky

At Peacock Turfscape, our yard and production team play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly, ensuring orders are prepared, packed, and dispatched efficiently. Nicky is one of our experienced bagging plant operatives and a valued member of the team, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done right.

Nicky has been part of Peacock Turfscape for almost two years, joining the team for a role that offered a better work-life balance with a shorter commute closer to home. Since then, he has become a key part of the yard operation. With nearly 20 years of experience operating machinery and a background rooted in production environments, Nicky brings a wealth of practical knowledge and reliability to his role.

In his day-to-day work, Nicky is responsible for running the bagging plant, wrapping pallets, preparing orders, and loading and offloading trucks. His role is essential in ensuring that products are processed efficiently and ready for delivery. For Nicky, being part of a supportive team is important, and as he puts it, “we have a great team here, it’s good to be a part of it,” and he takes pride in contributing to that positive working environment.

What motivates Nicky most is his family. He is driven by the desire to provide a good life for his son, both now and in the future, and this dedication is reflected in his consistent approach to his work. One of the most memorable moments during his time at Peacock Turfscape was the support he received from the company while his wife was unwell. The care and understanding shown during that time made a real difference to him and highlights the importance of looking after our people.

Outside of work, Nicky has a passion for music and spends his spare time DJing. He also enjoys exploring the outdoors and following football. A fun fact about Nicky, he can lick his own nose, which is something not many people can say!
