Meet the Team - Colin

At Peacock Turfscape, our delivery drivers are essential to making sure our products reach customers safely, efficiently, and on time. Colin is one of our experienced HGV drivers and a valued member of the delivery team, known for his professionalism and commitment to great customer service.

Colin joined Peacock Turfscape in April 2024 after spotting the role while doing agency work. The opportunity for secure, regular work was a key attraction, and he has since become an important part of our logistics operation. With over 30 years of experience holding an HGV and Moffett licence, Colin brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. Before joining Peacock Turfscape he spent 25 years with BOC, delivering gas cylinders to industry, healthcare, and hospitality sectors, building a strong reputation for safe and dependable deliveries.

In his day-to-day role, Colin is responsible for delivering customer orders in a safe and professional manner. He enjoys the variety the job brings, saying that “no two days are the same” and that every delivery comes with its own challenges and tight delivery points. Colin takes pride in meeting and exceeding customer expectations and enjoys “being part of a good team.” What motivates him most is finishing the day knowing he has done a good job.

One of Colin’s standout experiences at Peacock Turfscape was helping to facilitate the introduction of a new delivery system. Being asked to support this process was something he really appreciated and highlights his commitment to improving how we work.

Outside of work, Colin is a keen motorbike enthusiast and says, “there’s nothing like the freedom of the road.” He also enjoys getting home after a day’s work, changing, and heading out with his wife on the bike for dinner or ice cream. Fun fact! Colin was once the Scotland Road captain in a well-known motorcycle organisation. Looking ahead, Colin’s goal is to fully retire one day and enjoy the finer things in life.
