Peacock Turfscape was chosen by Bancroft Landscapes as the turf and landscape product supplier for a long-awaited new McDonalds restaurant, just off the A80 in Cumbernauld. Bancroft had seen first-hand the quality of the products and knew that the addition of high-quality turf would instantly transform the area and deliver a real impact for opening day.
The building work was contracted to Pacific Building, a construction and fit out company from Hillington. Bancroft Landscapes are the subcontractor of choice for Pacific Building. Both companies have forged a lasting working relationship based on shared experience and successful projects. The team have worked on 150 new McDonald Sites over the past 25 years, each time delivering great results.
Turf from Peacock Turfscape has been used on several of these sites, with this development being the latest. Bancroft used just over 1000 m2 of turf, covering the perimeter of the restaurant and creating a welcome green space alongside the double gang drive through. Peacock Turfscape also supplied decorative bark to enhance the landscaped area, providing attractive ground cover for the 1000 plants and 140 native trees planted around the site.
Arthur Bancroft, owner-manager at Bancroft Landscapes is happy with the project and commented, ‘Peacock Turfscape is my main turf supplier for the whole of Scotland. I’ve never been let down on quality or service and wouldn’t look to go elsewhere.’
Despite being a modern build, the landscaped area of the new restaurant really lends itself to its original surroundings, providing customers with some natural elements to enjoy while using the restaurant.
Lisa Taylor, Account Manager at Peacock Turfscape says, ‘We were delighted to be chosen as the turf supplier for this job. Bancroft Landscapes are a long-standing customer and having the opportunity to view their work has been a privilege. It’s always good to see our products in situ, and I can’t believe how great the site looks and how much the turf has grown already!’
